Aponogeton rigidifolius has sturdy plant
with wavy crispate and robust leaves. The plant prefers moderate to high
water currents and therefore at suitable place for Aponogeton rigidifolius
is nearby the filter. It is slow growing and it takes a couple of months
before it forms a beautiful plant, but as most other Aponogetons it
benefits from a nutrient rich substrate. CaCO
will precipitate on the leaves if grown in hard water Aponogeton
rigidifolius is easily reproduced by dividing the rhizome - the plant has
a rhizome in contrast to most other Aponogetons which have a tuberous
rootstock. In addition, the plant does not require any dormancy.
