Cryptocoryne beckettii has been one of the
most popular aquaria plants for more than 60 years. Cryptocoryne beckettii
is an amphibious plant and it grows very well submerged. Cryptocoryne
beckettii is very adaptive to a wide range of waters though it - like
most other Cryptocorynes - prefers a stable environment which small temporal
variations in water chemistry. It is absolutely most beautiful in groups though
very variable in colours and morphology. It is partly due to variation within
the species but also the water, light and sediment influence the colour of
the leaves.
