Echinodorus grandiflorus ssp. aureus is characterised by the
fact that new leaves are yellowish and older leaves golden. Under water it
forms large, heart-shaped leaves. The plant used to be sold under the name Echinodorus
cordifolius 'Gelb'. See Echinodorus
