Echinodorus quadricostatus
"magdalenensis" is a beautiful light-green foreground plant
which gives a nice contrast to the more dark-green plants in the aquarium.
The name is derived from its natural habitats of the river Magdalena in Columbia. Echinodorus
quadricostatus "magdalenensis" often sets offshoots for every 5
to 10cm along the bottom and the new plants soon develop into larger plants.
The mother plant allocates a lot of energy to the new plants and f the
connection is cut the mother plant will grow into a large vigorous plant. In
case of very good condition they will even create naturally groups.
