The 2003 Oldsmobile Silhouette sports a 3400 SFI V6 engine which provides a robust 185 hp at 5200 rpm and a 210 lb-ft of torque at 4000 rpm, 90% of peak torque is available from 1800 rpm all the way to 4000 rpm.

The Silhouette debuted in 1990 as part of a trio of General Motors Corp. minivans designed to compete against DaimlerChrysler's successful minivans. A power sliding door was added to the Silhouette in 1993. In 1997 GM took a new approach to the highly competitive minivan market with the introduction of the latest Silhouette and its sister vans.
