E-mail from
home/off-site
There are
two prerequisites for this capability. The first of these involves establishing a master mail box
password. To do this:
- enter the e-mail system and
access the 222g624c "tools" menu, then select "options" at the bottom;
- double-click the "security"
icon;
- in the window that follows,
type the password of your choice in the first field, then confirm it by
typing a second time in the second field. Also, be sure to check the box "Use single sign-on." If you do not, then you will be required to enter your mailbox
password even when logging-in on-site;
- close the screen by clicking
"OK," then close the "options" screen.
The next requirement
for remote connection to GroupWise is access to the Internet; any Internet
service provider will do. To check your
mail account:
- attach to the Internet and go
to https://mail.devereux.org (note the 's');
- hit the "Login to WebAccess" button;
- in the screen that follows, enter
your account name (the one you use to log-in to the system while at work)
and the master mailbox password you created earlier. NOTE:
Logins are case-sensitive; both
the username and the password need to be lower-case;
- click "login," and
you will be connected to your mailbox.
