Affirmative : S + have/has + been + V_ing

Interrogative : Have/has + S + been + V_ing

e.g. : How long have you been waiting for him ?

Negative : S + have/has + not + been + V_ing

e.g. : I haven’t been solving problems this morning .

It is used to express :

• An action that started in the past and is still going on in the present without any interruption .

Continuous = action in progress
