How to play using your voice
You must have a SAPI compliant speech engine, with command and control, installed on your system with an appropriate microphone attached and adjusted properly.
It works with MS Speech API 4.0. Not sure about others yet. If you get it to work with software other than MS Speech API 4.0, please let me know so that I can let others know.
Select Speech Recognition from the Board menu.
After you select it, 2 colored rectangular boxes/message areas will be displayed on the bottom board frame. The one on the 14414q161o left displays the move that is being made. The one on the right shows the last command recognized.
In the demo version, use "clear" to clear any demo related dialog boxes that pop up.
To start a game, you say "Roll" to roll the dice.
When it is your turn, after you have rolled the dice, say the row number the piece is on, then the distance you wish to move it. For example, to move the piece on the 13 row to the 8 row, you would say 13 5. When you say 13, you will see 13 in the right box and "Move from row 13" in the left box. After you say 5, 5 will be in the right box with the left box "Move from row 13 - 5". Then the piece will move.
If the from row or distance is recognized and accepted, it will show in the left box. If you make a mistake or the command is recognized incorrectly, say "clear" to clear the incorrect from row or distance. You can see it removed from the left box. Then enter the correct number. If you have entered both the wrong from row and distance, you can say "clear" twice to clear both. Or you can say "Move" to clear the move then start the move again.
When only one unused die is remaining, the move is made automatically when the from row is given. No need to enter the distances since there is only one choice.
The rest of the commands should be self explanatory.
To get a list of the commands say "What can I say". This will open a window that shows all of the commands.

Problems/Notes
If it works but then quits working, you might have to re-boot (start) your computer.
When you are playing using the mouse or keyboard, it is best to turn off the speech recognition
Please check out the speech recognition software to make sure it is working correctly.
