1992
'Jhva Elohim Meth' is recorded at Gorysound studio and released 252r171c as a Demo cassette (300 blue, 100 transparent and 100 red cassettes printed. The first 30 copies comes with photos and lyrics).
Bassist Guillaume "Israphel" Le Huche joins the band.
The band plays their first gig in
Katatonia enters into a one-album deal with No Fashion records.

(the original Demo re-pressed as a MCD).
1993
The debut album 'Dance of December Souls' is recorded at Unisound studio and released 252r171c by No Fashion records on CD.

band plays gigs in

'Dance of December Souls' is licensed to Hellion records and released on LP (limited edition 500 copies).
Katatonia records the following tracks: 'Scarlet Heavens', 'Black Erotica' and 'Love Of The Swan' at Unisound studio.
Katatonia signs a one MCD deal with Avantgarde Music and records "For Funerals To Come" at Unisound studio.
The band plays gigs in Umeå,
Fred Norrman joins the band as a second guitarist.

Wrong Again Records releases a compilation entitled 'WAR Compilation Volume 1' featuring the tracks 'Black Erotica' and 'Love Of The Swan'.
'For Funerals To Come' is released by Avantarde Music as a MCD. (The first 100 copies in white printed logos/titles, the rest in purple).

edition 1,500 copies).
1996
Katatonia reforms with Anders Nyström, Jonas Renkse and Fred Norrman as a trio.
Katatonia enters into a two album plus one MCD deal with Avantgarde Music.
The 2nd album, 'Brave Murder Day', is recorded at Unisound Studio and released by Avantgarde Music on CD. (Session member Mike Åkerfeldt does the vocals).
The track 'Scarlet Heavens' is released by Misantrophy Records on split 10" vinyl (Also featuring the band Primordial).
