I. Overview
This Known Issues list includes all unsolved bugs or product issues. The issues are cat 21421e43v egorized by function in this document to be easily recognized. If the listed issue only happens with certain fingerprint sensor or device, ABIG's corresponding product ID will be marked in the description. Otherwise, the issue is general for all products as listed in the Supported Products section.
If there are any other bugs or suggestions, please contact the ABIG sales group.

III. Known Issues
[Installation/Uninstallation]
User fingerprint authentication is not required when uninstalling the product. [Spec issue]
Standard user can uninstall Bio Protection.
[System Wizard]
[MC3000U] When choosing a finger to enroll, the message "Unable to detect fingerprint sensor" may appear.
[System Settings]
Adding an item to Quick Launch Area via context menu will not automatically call up System Settings.
[MC3000U] Changing from GINA mode to Welcome Screen mode sometimes will invoke 2 separate dialogs asking user to reboot computer. One of the dialogs comes from Upek SDK.
[MC3000U] Fingerprint enrollment process will fail automatically after idling for 3 minutes during an enrollment process.
Computer Protection
[MC3000U] After resuming from S4, fingerprint device sometimes cannot be detected. However fingerprint functionality will work normally after you have logged in.
Password Bank
IE: Auto-Fill may cause instability.
MSN Messenger: Remember my ID and Password + Auto sign-in may cause instability.
MSN Messenger: Password including the "@" character will cause auto-fill problems.
IE warning message dialog settings may cause Authentication dialog to be unstable; Using the default settings for IE will fix this problem.
Password Bank will interefere with the Wireless Network Properties dialog in Windows XP.
Multi-form in webpage will case password bank hook difficult. Ex. member.digitimes.com.tw.
Finger Launch
Microsoft Office 2007 shortcuts cannot be set as Finger Launch shortcut.
IE could not be added to quick-launch area under limited user authority.
[Pre-Boot Authentication]
Recovering an image from eRecovery or other image tools like Ghost will not disable PBA or remove PBA fingerprints. [Limitation issue]
Disabling/clearing PBA will not clear the BIOS Supervisor/User password. [Spec issue]
PBA automatic Windows logon will not work when the computer is resuming from hibernation (S4). [limitation issue]
[Trusted Platform Module]
TPM cannot be loaded for Credential Provider
TPM password confirms does not appear when accessing System Settings from Reminder page.

[eSomething Integration]
Fingerprint authentication for other eApp (eLock, eRecovery) cannot be used while eDataSecurity is configuring (allocating or resizing PSD).
eLock, eRecovery: when the FPVerify dialog is opened and left idle for 3 mins, continuous exception for VKSVC.exe will occur.
When eLock or eDataSecurity is requesting fingerprint authentication, the Authentication Dialog will not be able to connect with the sensor.
Others
Start Menu shortcuts are not ordered correctly, and may be different between different languages.
Only the shortcut that is clicked will be added to Quick Launch Area if multiple shortcuts were selected.
[MC3000U] [TravelMate 6292] After disabling and enabling the fingerprint sensor device from Device Manager, shutting down or restarting the computer may cause Blue Screen.
