How to edit the WindowsCE Registry
to turn the IrDA Port in a Modem Port
This is a step by step configuration
made with a Sharp Mobilon 4500 US-Version.
The steps and settings are the same for other H/PC's!
The WindowsCE devices doesn't supp 414r177e ort the IrDA Port as a
Modem Port on COM3. But the newest GSM Mobile Phones like the Nokia 61xx
Series, Communicator Series or the Ericsson SH 888 / DI 27 supports wireless
Data between a H/PC & PPC and Mobile Phone.
Please be very careful; otherwise you
can brake down your system!!!
Before you can edit the Registry you
have to download a Registry Editor.
