Microsoft has released Windows Media Player 11 (WMP 11) beta which is
available for direct full download from Windows
Media Player Download page (no validation required), or Microsoft
Download Center (WGA validation required - for ways to bypass WGA
validation, visit here).
However, even if you managed to download Windows Media Player 11, there is a
built-in WGA that check whether your Windows is genuine or not when trying to
install as WMP 10510v217k 11 is designated by Microsoft for users running genuine
Microsoft products or genuine Windows.
If you failed the WGA validation when installing Windows Media Player 11, you
will get the following error message:
Setup cannot continue
One or more of the following problem has occurred
during Setup.
Windows Genuine Advantage Validation
Setup was unable to validate that your copy of Windows is genuine. Click Finish to close setup and navigate your web browser to the Windows Genuine Advantage Website for additional information.
The best way to get Windows Media Player 11 beta to install, of course, is to get the Windows validated. However, for whatever reasons, if you still still want to install WMP11, there are workaround ways to bypass and disable the WGA validation check during setup installation process:
Cracking the player
So, I understand you are a pirate trying to crack this nifty program without success. Well I, like you, searched a lot for a tutorial on cracking WMP 11. I got many as well. All of them had same method. Extract using a powerful Zip Program (7-Zip in my case). Replace some dumb DLL and run the main exe. Simple! But everywhere there was a glitch. Nobody had the balls to provide the DLL openly. Many tried to provide but where executed by the file sharing server they choose.
Well so there had to be some other method, right? Well good news, there is. A much simpler method. Just extract the EXE into the folder name having same name (wmp11-windowsxp-x86-enu) as of the exe and run the following exes:
wmp11.exe, umdf.exe, wmdbexport.exe and wmfdist11.exe
Don't waste your time restarting your computer after running each of them. Now just like you extracted the main exe file extract wmp11.exe and run update.exe in the update folder inside the newly extracted folder. Thats it. You are done. Restart and rock your computer.

If the above steps are not working and Windows Media Player 11 won't play properly, try the following instructions:
1. Rename wmplayer.exe in C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\ folder to
any other file name.
2. Extract wmp11.exe which located inside your first WMP11 installer extracted
folder.
3. Locate wmplayer.exe from extracted wmp11.exe folder and copy it to the
C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\ folder.
It seems that this blog has listed all the possible methods to crack WMP but shame that its DLL replacing method won't work..
