Installation Instructions: VideoCAMworks Windows 2000 BETA Driver

IMPORTANT: This update will not work for Windows 95 and is not supported for Windows 98 or Windows Me.

*** You Must have a Kensington VideoCAM with the Windows 2000 firmware installed 616m1215g (Version 9805) to use these drivers.

How to update the driver:
Download the file named Win2000_driver.exe and save it on your desktop. This is a self-extracting zipped archive. Unzip the file by double clicking it. This will automatically create a folder named C:\Kensington\VideoCAM\Driver and extract all the files contained in that archive to that folder. To install the Kensington VideoCAM drivers perform the following steps:

1. Plug in the Kensington VideoCAM with the Windows 2000 firmware.

When plugging in the camera it may be recognized first as a USB Device or Aox 401 Reference Camera, this is normal for this BETA release.

2. Wait for the Operating System Driver Install Wizard to detect the USB Composite Device.
3. When the Install Wizard requests a driver, choose to specify the location and select C:\Kensington\VideoCAM\Driver
4. Select 'Yes' or 'OK' to continue through the Driver Installation Wizard.
5. You will be prompted that the driver has not received Microsoft's Driver Verification Signature, you should select 'Yes' to install.
6. Continue to select 'Yes' or 'OK' to complete the driver installation.

This process may occur two times in a row as the new firmware makes the VideoCAM a Composite device that requires two independent drivers.

Click "Finish" to complete the update.
