Kensington VideoCAMworks 2.0 BETA Information
Installation Instructions: VideoCAMworks 2.0
1. Download the VCW200b2a.exe to your computer.
2. Double-click the VCW200b2a.exe to automatically unzip the install files.
3. Open up the folder C:\Kensington\VideoCAM\VCW 20120g622u and double-click on SETUP.exe
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
5. Click 'Finish' when complete
For details about the software please refer to the VideoCAMworks Help file in the software. This is located in the Help menu of the main window.
RELEASE NOTES AND REPORTING
This is the first BETA release. It should provide functionality for the VideoCAM, VideoCAM VGA, and VideoCAM SVGA.
HOW TO REPORT A BUG
=======================
Bug reports should be sent to [email protected].
Please enter "Bug Report for (Insert Operating System)" in the subject field of your message, along with one or more asterisks to describe the severity of the problem.
***** - Freeze-ups, reproducible crashes, installation problems, etc.
**** - GPFs in certain applications, conflicts with other input devices, etc.
*** - certain features of VideoCAMworks do not work.
** - other less severe issues.
* - very cosmetic issues.
So a typical subject heading will look like
"Bug Report for VideoCAMworks 2- **".
Include as much of the following information in the body of the report as you can.
1. Your name and telephone number.
2. Is it a laptop or a desktop?
3. Make and model of your computer. If it is home-built, make and model of motherboard and the BIOS make and version.
4. Various peripherals connected to your computer and if possible the version of device drivers for those peripherals. This includes devices on PS/2 port, COM ports, internal modems, video cards, sound cards, SCSI controller cards, special adaptor cards, etc.
5. What version of VideoCAMworks software is being tested?
6. What kind of Kensington VideoCAM device? Is the camera attached through an external USB hub?
7. Do you have any other camera devices? If so, what are they and how are they connected?
8. Description of the problem. Please outline step-by-step instructions to reproduce the problem. If we cannot reproduce the problem, we cannot fix the problem. Describe the issue in detail.
9. Can you reproduce the problem? - Always, sometimes or just the once?
10. Anything else you think will be useful for us to understand the cause of the problem.
