WINDOWS FIREWALL
There will be times when you will request a service on the network. In so Windows XP SP2's firewall settings will ask if you want to Keep Blocking/Unblock the service request.
REMEMBER: Only unblock service requests that you have accessed. If it looks suspicious then please do not unblock the service.
Here are the instructions to unblock the request:
WINDOWS POP-UP BLOCKER
Sometimes you will go to a website and a Pop-Up (an advertisement from a website) will be blocked by the Windows XP SP2 Pop-up blocker. Most of the time you will not require to look at Pop-Ups but in very rare occasions a website will use Pop-Ups as an access point to get into their website. In this rare case you will need to unblock the particular website.
REMEMBER: Only unblock a particular website if you can trust the site. Do not unblock a website if it looks suspicious. The Pop-up could possibly be an intrusive website link (a popup with a virus).
