This method describes normal F/W upgrade procedure when the device is properly working. Using this method, all user downloaded data and setting values are preserved.

Copy Z5Update.dat file on the Data folder of MTP connection

Disconnect the USB cable. Then the following screen will come up. Select Upgrade to initiate firmware upgrade. This will power off the system.

Make sure the device is powered off properly. Then connect the USB cable. Then system will automatically upgrade the firmware. Do not remove USB cable during this process. After finishing the upgrade, new firmware will be started automatically.

Check the version information in the Settigns > System Info > Version tab.

CAUTION: For the Z5F device which shipped with version 2.27 F/W installed, you must see ˇ°Z5F F/W Ver 2.27 Upgrade Procedureˇ± at the end of this document.

Copy Z5Update.dat file on the root directory of Removable disk of the device.
