Auto midi controller is a VST plugin that can convert an audio signals level (amplitude) to a midi continuous controller valve 0-127 in real time. Designed to be used with WAHt and WAH_ml as an auto WAH but can b 21221d33v e used with any VST plugin with a midi input and automation. Which makes it possible to automate a control of an effect with a source volume level in real time. Experiment with different audio source, destination and effect controls.
Setup - connect an audio input to the input of automidi_CC. Connect the midi output of automidi_CC to the VST you wish to control. Set the CC# to match the number of the automated control.
The audio input is routed directly to the audio output unchanged for monitoring through automidi_CC. Midi input provides patch change and automation (with some hosts). There is no midi through.
Controls
Input - used to adjust the response to different input levels
Attack - sets the attack time of the envelope.
Decay - sets the decay time of the envelope
Bottom - Sets a low limit of the assigned continuous controller 0% to 80%
CC # - Sets what continuous controller number the VST will send a value to.
Top - Sets an upper limit of the assigned continuous controller 0% to 100%
Note Auto midi controller can only be used in hosts that support midi connections between VST's.
Tested in SynthEdit and energyXT. I don't know of any other hosts that allow midi connections but I'm quite sure there are others.
