3.  &n 636e42g bsp;   Cānd īntr-o propozitie se afla un verb auxiliar acesta suporta toate modificarile, nu verbul de conjugat.

4.  &n 636e42g bsp;   Cu exceptia verbelor modale si a verbului a fi care formeaza singure negativul (prin adaugarea lui not) si interogativul (prin inversarea locului cu subiectul) verbele din limba engleza nu pot forma singure negativul si interogativul:

• la negativ se adauga not verbului auxiliar
• la interogativ verbul auxiliar se asaza īn fata subiectului

5. Īn limba engleza nu este permis sa folosim doua negatii īn aceeasi propozitie. Daca avem un cuvānt negativ īn propozitie (de exemplu never = niciodata; nothing = nimic; nobody = nimeni; nowhere = nicaieri) trebuie sa punem verbul la afirmativ.
