The final vector formats are PICT (Paths), PICT2 (Paths), Windows Metafile, and Windows Enhanced Metafile. Quite frankly, these are very specific file formats and most FreeHand users will hardly ever need to use them.
(Mac) To export as PICT (Paths) and PICT2 (paths):
Choose one of the following from the format menu:
o PICT (Paths) contains 8-bit color depth.
o PICT2 (Paths) contains 32-bit color depth.
TIP
There is no setup for either PICT format.
(Win) To export as MetaFile and Enhanced MetaFile:
Choose one of the following from the format menu:
o MetaFile contains 16-bit color depth.
o Enhanced MetaFile contains 32-bit color depth as well as other information.
Click the Setup button to select the other options
Choose Include FreeHand document to be able to re-open the file in FreeHand.
. Choose Convert type to paths to avoid the need to have the fonts for printing and editing.
