Once you create a blend, you can still make changes to the objects in the blend. For instance, you may want to change the shape of one of the original objects in the blend.
To modify a blend shape:
Use the Subselect tool to select one of the original objects of the blend
Use the Pointer tool or Subselect tool to make any changes to specific points on the object or move the object into a new position.
The blend automatically redraws when you release the mouse button
To modify the objects in a blend:
Use the Subselect tool to select one of the original objects of the blend.
Use any of the onscreen panels, inspectors or tools to change the colors, fills or strokes in the blend.
TIP
If you add an attribute to one object in a blend that is not in the other objects, the blend will not redraw.
Blends are actually special types of groups. You use the Ungroup command to release the objects in the blend.
To release a blend:
With the blend selected, choose Modify > Ungroup. The original objects of the blend are released along with the intermediate steps.
TIP
The intermediate steps are themselves grouped and can be deleted or modified
